While it is true that Workplace Politics are at play in every organization, it does not necessarily mean that there is discrimination in the workplace. Not all politics are bad and understanding how the interconnections between a team of people can lead to success for each team member as well as the company.
Big Lots (BIG) is a retailer with roughly 1,400 stores throughout the United States targeting mass market, value focused customers (they previously had 80 stores in Canada, but they were all closed in 2014). The merchandise mix is an assortment of big-ticket items (notably furniture), seasonal offerings and closeout merchandise.
